Conventional Cardio-Pulmonary For All Adult Victim And Infant
- Open the airways by tilting the head and lifting the chin. Determine victim is not breathing .
- Give 2 breaths over 1 second each.
- Put your hands on the breastbone midway between the nipples for chest compressions. for am adult put your second hand on top of the first ams interlock the fingers ,for a child use I and both hands.
For an infant ,put your two middle fingers just below an imaginary line between the nipples.
- Give 30 chest compression hard and fast 1 1/2 to 2 inches deep in am adult ( 1/3 to 1/2 Tue depth of the chest in an infant or child,) at arate of 100 per mini. Count aloud for a steady fast rate:”one two three Then give 2 breaths.
- Continued cycles of 30 compressions and 12 breaths ,if the victims may have been choking look inside the mouth when opening the mouth to give breaths,and remove any object with your fingers.
- Continue CPR until :
The victim to move An AED is brought or another scene and is ready to use Professional help or another CPR trained person arrives and take over You are too exhausted to continue.
- (A)when an AED arrives, start the AED sequence
- (B) If the victim starts moving, check for breathing
If the victim is breathing put him or her in the recovery position and monitor breathing.
Using And AED Method
Give CPR until an AED “automated external defibrillator” is brought to the scene and ready ,when the AED is ready, recheck for breathing , if the victims is not breathing follow the steps below.
If you arrive at the victim with am “AED ” check the victims breathing and then use the AED immediately before starting CPR.

In Conclusion
1: position the victim away from the water and metal , place the unit by the victims shoulder and turn it on.
2: Expose the Victim’s chest and dry or shave the area of necessary
3: Apply pads to the victim chest , if need plug the cables into the unit.
4: stand clear during rhythm analysis.
5: Follow prompts from AED unit to (a) not shock but immediately give CPR with the pads remaining in place , starting with chest compressions.
6: Stand clear with AED prompts to analysis the rhythm again after 5 cycles of CPR ( about 2 minutes)
7: Continue Step 5 and 6 until the victim moves or professional rescuer arrive and take over .
