Contraindications and warnings

Ciproxin 500 is contraindicated and therefore cannot be taken in the following cases:

Patients with hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients contained in the medicinal product;

Patients who are on tizanidine-based therapy;

Patients with hypersensitivity to other drugs belonging to the quinolone family;

Pregnant women;

Women who are breastfeeding.

Interaction with other medicinal products

1 tablet (500 mg) or 1 and a half tablet (750 mg) twice a day, always at the same time every 12 hours; therapy can last from 7 to 14 days.

For the treatment of malignant external otitis:

1 and a half tablets (750 mg) twice a day, always at the same time every 12 hours; therapy can last from 28 days to 3 months.

For the treatment of cystitis:

1/2 tablet (250 mg) or 1 tablet (500 mg) twice a day, always at the same time every 12 hours; therapy can last from 3 days (in the case of mild cystitis) to 7 days (in the case of complicated cystitis).

For the treatment of prostatitis and pyelonephritis:

1 tablet (500 mg) or 1 and a half tablet (750 mg) twice a day, always at the same time every 12 hours; therapy can last from 10 days to 6 weeks.

For the treatment of genital infections:

1 tablet (500 mg) in a single dose.
